The January transfer market proves to be a period of feverish speculation and possible big-money deals. A number of prominent stars are being linked with transfers away from their current teams. Here is a look at some of the key figures that are poised to be changing clubs in January.

Antoine Semenyo

This Bournemouth attacker has a deal with a substantial buy-out clause active for a short period at the start of the month. Latest reports point to the Premier League champions look to have won the race for his signature. Other suitors like Chelsea and Tottenham reportedly have moved on to other targets, leaving clubs such as Liverpool or Manchester United to make a late bid.

M. Guéhi

This English centre-back has continued to excel for Crystal Palace this season a previous move to Liverpool falling through. As his deal set to expire in the summer, this represents the club's last opportunity to obtain a transfer fee for their skipper. A host of elite clubs, such as Manchester City and multiple continental powerhouses including Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich, reportedly be interested. Following starring at the Under-19 European Championship, Smit has broken into the AZ Alkmaar first team. This 19-year-old is widely expected to make a big-money move in January. Newcastle reportedly are frontrunners, but could face strong competition from Real Madrid for a signing priced at around twenty-two million pounds.
